Mexican philosopher and thinker, was Professor of aesthetics and history of philosophy in the University of Mexico.

His thinking is strongly influenced by the philosophy of values, and Ortega y Gasset. He/She was part of the group called “Hyperion”, and also began a movement that aims to research the “Mexican soul”, and a return to indigenous values.

After suffering the inferiority complex of the Mexican soul, as a result of the Spanish conquest, and expressed in a collective disregard for the same that has prevented the normal development, aims to put in place the various values, giving priority to the value first to reach: personality.

The main concern of man is to be true to himself. His main works: profile of man and culture in Mexico (1934), towards a new humanism (1940) and philosophy of artistic life (1950).
